Do you provide financing for your homes?
Jerry Wright Homes does not provide financing, but is happy to refer you to local lenders to finance your new home at very competitive rates.  Buyers are also welcome to use their preferred lender when purchasing a new Jerry Wright Home.

 Where are you building new homes?
Jerry Wright Homes is currently building new homes in House Creek North in Copperas Cove, Texas and in Trimmier Estates in Killeen, Texas, as well as building custom homes in all price ranges across the Central Texas area.

Are you an approved VA builder?
Jerry Wright Homes is a registered VA builder.   All Jerry Wright Homes are eligible for VA loan financing, as well as FHA financing.

What about a warranty?
Jerry Wright Homes provides a full one year builder warranty, a two year warranty on systems in the home and a 10 year warranty on the structural elements of the home.   Homes are enrolled in the 2/10 Home Buyer Warranty Company.  Buyers receive a written warranty book explaining all coverage.

How much are your homes?
As of  July, 2010, Killeen Fort Hood homes for sale ranged from $141,900 to $169000, but we have building lots available to build your new home in any price range you need.

Do you pay my closing costs?
Yes, Jerry Wright Homes will pay your normal closing costs and prepaid reserves if you are using a local lender or a lender who charges fees comparable to local Killeen Fort Hood mortgage companies.

What appliances are included in Jerry Wright Homes?
New homes include a smooth top self cleaning electric range, automatic built in dishwasher, built in microwave/hood and garbage disposal.  As of July, 2010, Jerry Wright Homes installs Whirlpool brand appliances.   Refrigerators are not a standard feature in Jerry Wright Homes, but may be purchased through the builder and added to the sales price of your new home.
 
What about lawn sprinkler systems, grass and privacy fencing?
All Jerry Wright Homes are priced to include automatic lawn sprinkler systems, full yard grass sod and 6’ wood privacy fencing which is installed around the backyard connecting to the house at the back corners of the structure.  If you desire privacy fencing to come up the sides of the home, this can be done for an additional charge per foot which can be added to the price of your home.    Your sprinkler system will be zone and is equiped with a rain sensor so your yard will not be watered if it is raining.

Are your homes energy efficient?
Jerry Wright Homes are built to meet or exceed the energy efficiency requirements for VA loans, FHA loans and for local city code requirements.  Homes feature insulated doors, low E glass, thermal pane windows, 14.9 SEER rated heating and air conditioning units, 10 inches of blown attic insulation and foam around any voids that may allow heat movement.   Jerry Wright Homes is also an Energy Star Builder.  Spray foam insulation is also available for additional charge.  If you are concerned about energy conservation, ask us about foam insulation.

Do you build custom homes?
Jerry Wright Homes will build your plan or a company plan as a custom home for you anywhere in Central Texas!

What does it cost to build a custom home?
Custom home prices depend on many factors, such as location, size, and features the buyer wants in the home.  Jerry Wright builds custom homes in the Killeen Fort Hood area from the $110,000 range to the  million dollar range.   We build homes in subdivisions as well as on your rural land.

Even though the April 30th deadline has passed, certain members of the military who were assigned out of the country for at least 90 days since December 31, 2008, have a 12 month extension of time to take advantage of the Federal Homebuyer Tax Credits of up to $8000.   Contact your tax advisor to find out if you qualify and receive money from the government when you buy your new home!
